Our Journey from the Bayou to Your Table
MudBugs Sports Bar & Grill is more than a restaurant—it’s a taste of home, built from the roots of South Louisiana. Dawn and Hoyt, both born and raised in the heart of Cajun country, met in 1985 and began a life full of love, family, and entrepreneurial spirit. After marrying in 1990 and raising their two children, Kaitlyn and Logan, they successfully ran several businesses before deciding to embark on a flavorful new journey.
In 2017, they brought their Southern roots to Frisco, Texas, and now Little Elm, Texas in 2025, along with live crawfish straight from the family farms back home. It didn’t take long to discover that the local Louisiana community was craving more than just crawfish, they were longing for the full taste of home. So with a passion for cooking, a collection of family recipes, and a whole lot of heart, MudBugs Sports Bar & Grill opened its doors on June 8, 2019. Since then, we’ve been serving up Cajun flavor, Southern hospitality, and good times—just like we do back in Louisiana. Laissez les bon temps rouler!
